Gleaming grey eyes embedded in soft ebony pelt studied their surroundings.
It was a beautifully clear day, yet slightly humid. Torchwood didn’t mind the humidity… He had his summer coat already, and his short hair kept him cooler on days like today.
The stallion stood for a moment. Drinking in the serenity of the stunning scenery, than raising his muzzle slightly to sniff the air. Only the warm, gentle air entered his nostrils. No sign of others…
He lay on the sun baked grass next to the icy blue lake and rolled on one side, than the other. Leaving his scent. His desire was not to over-take the territory, as it was already his… He merely wanted to identify himself. Make his presence known.
He stood back up on the lush grass again and raised his muzzle once more in search of a new scent. Any new scent.
The stallion’s nostrils flared. Other equines. Hopefully here to share the peace, or here in search of a herd… Torchwood was without one. He wanted, no, he needed mares. He has been alone too long.
He glanced to his side as a shadow in the form of an equine emerged from the trees. He sniffed the air. Just one horse, he could scent… a mare.

{The Ladies and their Sons.}
Magic & Chip... The golden vixen two-beated into the lands of Lonely Lake. She tossed her head and called for her friends. The small colt whickered and bucked, cantering ahead. He was known as the cutest colt at the barn where they had lived because of his canter. It could either be long and beautiful, or cute and bouncy. It was more of a hop around the lands. He looked back at his mother before slowing to a trot and rearing up as if to claim the lands. The mare snorted and trotted after him. She stopped up on the hill and let out a whicker to any stallions who may have been roaming the lands.
Savhanna... The chestnut mare snorted softly and picked up a trot out of the woods and into Lonely Lake. She whickered softly to her friends before picking up a gallop until she hit the top of the hill. She sniffed and nudged the little colt before dropping her head to graze.

The stallion was right; Mare.
But not just one? Two mares. And they each have foals. Torchwood needs a herd. This could be the begining...
The black horse walked slowly towards the two pairs. Hello... New around these parts?

Magic & Chip... The leadess smiled lightly and whickered back to the stallion. Hello. And yes. I am Magic, and this is my son, Chip. She said as the colt landed. She nudged the small horse's shoulder and smiled. He trotted over and nudged the chestnut before laying down in between the two.
Savhanna... The chestnut mare snorted softly. I am Savhanna. She said flatly. She looked at the black stallion, gaze falling on his before she turned away and looked at the small colt and nudged him lightly.
Comet & Cupid... The mare snorted softly and bobbed her head as the stallion approached. She let out a gentle whicker to her colt before smiling at the stud. Hello. I am Comet. And that colt over there is Cupid. She said, motioning to the colt. The small stallion got up and whickered lightly before shaking his coat and trotting over to his mother's side.

Ah, so i see. The stallion nodded. He looked over the foals and smiled. Tough as he was, he had a soft spot for foals.
I'd be glad to show you around, if you like. Or you can tell me your stories. Im sure theres some reason how you all ended up herdless here. He said gently, and curiously.
The ebony muscles relaxed and he stood, watching the trio.

Magic & Chip... The lead of the three smiled and nodded. We would love to see the place. She said with a bright smile.
Savhanna... The mare nodded. She was already here, so why not take a look around? She snorted and shook off her coat before looking to the stud to lead the way.
Comet & Cupid...
The mare smiled and nudged her colt forewards and nodded to the stallion. Sounds wonderful. She said lightly.

The ebony stallion nodded to the six and lead the way.
Well, this is my own territory. It goes by Blue Grass Plains. It gets lonely here for me, mind you... Im without a herd. At the moment.
He turned towards the others for a moment before turning back to the land.
Its pretty large. There are plenty of pine trees for shade on days like today. And its got it's own river running through the center of it all. Torchwood added, defensively.
