Here are my horses. First though, I will give you a bit of history in all of them. Coco, Pepsi, and Shorty have only been with us for 3 years. Hank almost one year. Anyway.
Coco- She is my baby girly!! She is a Percheron cross mare, we don't know what she is crossed with. But here are our guesses: Arabian, or, Thoroughbred, or, Canadian. The Arab is the most LEAST likely. Anyway, she was very skinny when we bought her, that is why we had bought her. The guy only want to sell her because she might have been in foal. Well it turned out that she was, he is another story. She loved us after he was brushed her for the very first time. She came with Shorty. They both came to our house like this: Skinny (Coco more than Shorty), lice infested, and hooves cracked and not done. She soon got to really love us though after we brushed her and brushed her. (especially me because I was her "owner" lol.) She trusted me pretty fast. On May 15, 04, she had her foal. Pepsi. We expect that he was a month late. All because her and Shorty came to our house in March and she was still abit weary. But she still had Pepsi. And boy, I will write about him in his little thingy. We had a vet check, to get them wormed and to get her teeth floated because she was eating funny. She did need her teeth to be floated, but, I guess in her life she had gotten a broken jaw that never healed properly. And I saw the gap in her bottom jaw when she was yawning. OMG IT is soo big!! It looks as though somebody took a hold of it and then cracked it in two, right in half! Yeah it looks bad. But it is, well looks, kind healed despite that. Anyway, She used to be scared of the blanket, you know the saddle one. WELL now she isn't which is good. Like she was frantic scared running everywhere. I have actually been in the saddle with her! And surprised that it fits because she is a fat hog now. And I can get the bit into her mouth with just little fight!! LOL I will get pics of her hooves which are really badly deformed, well not really but they still look bad, and her old harness sore on her back, and if I am lucky, her gapped bottom jaw (dont get your hopes up). She is 16.3hh, and 14 or 15 years old.
Shorty- Shorty was a bit of a handful. He is tall first of all, 17hh, and he knows that he is strong. But yet.. he is really old. Umm... 25+. And was going to be sent to the slaughter house, which is why we bought him. Plus he is good with foals, because he was put with a foal when he was at the place and they just groomed each other all day. He still does it to Pepsi. Anyway, he is a real grumpy old man. And he used to grunt and make noises at me if I wanted to do something to him. Or even let him sniff me. But what can I say, he was my sisters horse at first and she never did anything with him. That is the reason he is mine now. But he is really good, just grumpy. I but him in the bridle, well the harness bridle the only kind that will fit him and Coco at our place right now. And well, he got really good. And I can make him trot in it and everything. But we are not gonna do anything with him anymore. He went down hill for a while. Like he was gonna.. yeah. But now he is back, running trotting everywhere. WELL lol, he still has awhile! LOL He is really starting to like me also! lol. Which is good because you have to get a large muscular horse to like you. It hurts if they don't. And Shorty has taught be that...
Pepsi- Here is the pretty boy. He is a wonderful colour, see pics, tall for his age. 17.1hh or more at the age of 3. He was 17 at the age of 2! Anyway, he is really trainable. And loves us all! Very personality in this big boy. He loves people! lol. Hardly scared of anything unless he wants to run places. The first time somebody was on his back, all he did was arch it. Nothing of the sort of bucking or spookiness!! But he isn't trained now. He still needs to be trained. Next year lol, Coco hopefully this year and then I can ride her! Anyway, I can still sit on him and he knows that when I squeeze on him that it means go. I just don't have any control on where he goes. So he goes to Hank and starts to bug him. And Hank and him are in "leadership rights" aka wanting to be the lead of each other lol. But he is good others whys. Very lovely to watch. See pics and I have a couple of videos.
Hank- HANKERS!! He came to us near the end of September last year. He is a beautiful red grulla! LOL Stripe all the way from his mane, and down to the tip of his tail. Oh so pretty. He is 20-21. And still has spunk in him. Believe me, I have been on him when he decided to buck. I stayed on of course, lol. I am such a good rider . Anyway. He is very stubborn and I am still in a fight with him on who is boss. That little bugger. But when Coco is in heat, Hank is her best friend, though he is a gelding. Only three geldings and one mare at my place lol. Yeah, he basically is the only one that I can really ride!! LOL. I haven't known him for very long, that is why this isn't like some jumbo thing like Coco lol. He was my sisters horse, but then came to me after she didn't do anything with him -_-.
I have only been riding for a year, Western is my biggy and I just started English last Wednesday!! LOL
